What is the Difference Between Laminate and Compact Laminate (HPL Solid Core)?
The fundamental difference between the two options lies in the core (inner layer) structure, material density and the level of resistance to water and outdoor conditions. While the standard Laminate option is produced by pressing a thin protective surface layer onto a wood-based panel, Compact Laminate (HPL Solid Core) has a fully solid, high-density core obtained by pressing hundreds of resin-impregnated kraft papers under high temperature and extreme pressure. Thanks to this special production technology, the Compact Laminate option offers 100% water resistance and maximum mechanical strength against water, humidity, direct wetting, impacts and heavy scratching compared with standard laminate.
While the Laminate option is sufficient for interiors, dry areas and standard home/office use, the Compact Laminate (HPL Solid Core) variant is recommended for restaurants, cafés, open terraces, wet areas (poolsides etc.), heavy commercial traffic and heavy-use conditions.
Cleaning and Care Instructions:To protect the top layer, avoid abrasive sponges, scouring creams and aggressive chemical cleaners. For daily cleaning, we recommend neutral surface cleaners, lukewarm water and a soft microfibre cloth.
